My name is Martin Brennan, I'm 19 years old, and I have recently completed studying a Bachelor of Interactive Entertainment Majoring in Animation at QANTM College in Brisbane. My main field of specialisation is modeling and texturing props and environments for video games. I enjoy working with computers immensely, and over the past few years I have built upon my skills in several different software programs.
I have a love for video games, which has driven me to persue a career involving them, and a passion for creating video game artwork. I am a fast learner, I work well in a team and as an individual, and I am always eager to discover new techniques that help me become a better artist and fine tune my work.
I am currently available for any positions as a prop or environmental artist. Please contact me at mbrennan@gtf.net.au if you would like any further information about me, my work or my availability.
GAMES
Blakely Van De Buckle's Brass Cabaret (BBBC)
BBBC is a 2.5D sidescrolling puzzle game where you play as Blakely, a puppet who runs a steam powered theatre. On the opening night of his fantastic, new steam powered production, the machine malfunctions and breaks down, and it is up to you to help Blakely repair it by solving puzzles, before he is booed off the stage by an unimpressed audience.
I worked on the game team Powderkeg entertainment to create this game, which serves as our final project for university. It was shortlisted as a finalist in the Best Unsigned Independant Game category for the Game Connect Asia Pacific conference 2009, which took place December 6-8 in Melbourne. Throughout the project, I have modeled, unwrapped and animated all of the game's environment artwork, as well as its introduction cinematic. I have also scheduled tasks, edited levels using xml, logged and fixed artwork bugs in the game. You can find the website for Powderkeg Entertainment by clicking the link below:
More information about the game itselft, my involvement in its production and gameplay videos can be found at both the Powderkeg Entertainment website, and its page on this website, which is located here .
